"IN GOD’S WAITING ROOM"
Many times I’ve entered into God’s waiting room
Renewed strength He gives for each new day
Increasing my faith in spite of what looks like doom
His grace being sufficient for today
Knowing I soon will exit this another of
God’s Waiting Rooms.
Many years ago I again entered God’s waiting room
A room filled with pain and suffering
Instead of healing He gave me this thorn
Saying: My child, wait patiently on me in your suffering
I’ll give you strength and grace to go on in your storm
So, I’ll wait in God’s waiting room until
I enter the Pearly Gates.
Waiting…waiting for His healing touch
Minutes turn to hours, hours turn to days,
Days turn to years
As I wait in God’s Waiting Room
Waiting…waiting for His healing touch.
Resting in Jesus until He ushers me into
His presence; over in Glory where there’s
No more sorrow or pain; no more waiting
Rooms, Praise His name!
Psalm 37:7 – “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.”
Psalm 27:14 – “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say on the Lord.”
Isaiah 40:31 – “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Galatians 4:13-15; Galatians 6:11; II Corinthians 12:7-10; 4:16-17 – “…there was given to me a thorn in the flesh…my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness…when I am weak, then am I strong…ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me…for which cause we faint not; but though out outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day; for our light afflictions, which is but a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”
Philippians 4:6-11 – “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus…for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”
