Are you downhearted and weary
Are your burdens weighing your down
Burdens of loss, hurts and disappointments?
Bring these burdens to the cross and lay them down
And then release your burdens to Jesus!

Are you downhearted and weary
Is your burden of sin weighing you down
Come to Jesus and He’ll give you rest for your soul
Immersed in His Love
You can lay your burden down
And then release your burden to Jesus

Release, just release your burden to Jesus
Cast all your cares upon Him
For He cares for you
Release your burdens to Jesus
And leave them there
Leave them there!
Just release!

Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is night unto them that are of a broken heart: and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

1 Peter 5:7 – “Casting all your cares upon him; for he careth for you!”

Psalm 55:22 – “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to me moved.”

Psalm 38:4, 15 – “For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me. For in thee, O Lord, do I hope; thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.”

Matthew 11:28-30 – “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Psalm 37:3-7 – “Trust in the Lord, and do good…delight thyself also in the Lord (fall in love with Jesus); and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Rest (fall into the arms of Jesus) in the Lord, and wait patiently for him…”
