Mamma’s retired out of this troublesome world
To rest from all her labors and cares
Fallen asleep in Jesus…in Jesus
Under His care and protection
So, sleep tight, sweet Mamma!

Mamma taught me from her precious Bible
To keep looking up for the Rapture
When the trump of God will awaken her
For the Great Reunion in the sky
Until then, sleep tight, sweet Mamma!

Lah…lah…bye and good night Sweet Mamma
As you sleep in Jesus’ Arms
See you soon in Heaven Mamma
When the trump of God awakens you!

Sleep tight, Sweet Mamma!

Our hope as believers…we are to comfort one another with these words (undisturbed rest, being still in union with Him – our souls are in His Presence – our dust is under His care awakened from their sleep at Rapture at the sound of the trumpet).

Dedicated to my mother-in-law, Jennavie Summers, who is asleep in Jesus!

Psalm 116: 15 – “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”

2 Cor. 5:8 – “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

1 Cor. 4:13-18 – “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these words.”
