When the storms of life beset me
And the strong winds blow
Fear and despair begins to grow
That’s when…
The Lord will hold my hand!

When my strength is almost gone
And I become weary from my storms
Waves of disbelief and doubt forms
That’s when…
The Lord will hold my hand!

When the waves are high on the sea
I won’t be afraid
For Jesus promised never to leave nor forsake me
That’s when…
The Lord will hold my hand!

Thanks to Calvary this ship Jesus saves
Tossing to and fro by the tumultuous waves
Almost drowning and shipwrecked
That’s when…
The Lord will hold my hand!

Now Jesus is the Captain of my ship
Who helps me stay on course
And when the storms around me whip
That’s when…
The Lord will hold my hand!

Peace be still! Our Lord commands the storm
Calming the winds and the waves
And the storm passes o’er
That’s when…
The Lord will hold my hand!

The Lighthouse beaming rays of light
Across the ocean so bright
Beams rays of hope in the night
That’s when…
The Lord will hold my hand!

After the long stormy night
God paints a rainbow in the sky
As we anchor our ship with delight
That’s when…
The Lord will hold my hand!
Soon I will sail on to Heaven’s shore
Anchored in Jesus forevermore
This old ship worn and needing repair
He promised to make new and restore
As the Lord takes my hand and leads me on HOME!

I’m anchored in Jesus forevermore
So, let the storms come and go
And this old ship toss to and fro
As waves of peace o’er my soul soar
For the Lord will hold my hand!

The Lord will hold my hand
In the good times
In the bad times
He will keep me in the hollow of His hand
Safe and secure always
The Lord will hold my hand
Today, tomorrow and always!
Jesus, hold my hand tight!

Isaiah 42:6 – “I the Lord…will hold thine hand, and will keep thee…”

Isaiah 26:3 – “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.”

Matthew 8:23-27 – “Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm…What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!”

Joshua 1:5,6,9 – “…as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee…be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest.”

Isaiah 41:10 – “Fear thou not; for I am with thee…I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Isaiah 40:11,28-31 – “…He shall gather the lamb with His arm, and carry them in His bosom…but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…”

“Stand up in the place where the dear Lord has put you, and there do
your best. God gives us trial tests. He puts life before us as an antagonist face-to-face. Out of the buffeting of a serious conflict we are expected to grow strong. The tree that grows where tempests toss its boughs and bed its trunk often almost to breaking, is often more firmly rooted than the tree which grows in the sequestered valley where no storm ever brings stress or strain. The same is true of life. The grandest character is grown in hardship.” —Selected—
