I am only one
but I am one;
I cannot do much
But I can do something;
What I can do,
I ought to do,
By the grace of God,
I will do.

---Motto from Builder of Bridges,---
Autobiography of Dr.Bob Jones, Sr.

Therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you.

Isaiah 30:18

I love what C.H. Spurgeon said many years ago: "And oh! Above all, when thy God hides His face, say not that He hath forgotten thee. He is but tarrying a little while to make thee love Him better; and when He cometh, thou shalt have JOY in the Lord unspeakable. Waiting exercises our grace; for for though the promise tarry, it can never come too late."

Til I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine...mediate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

I Timothy 4:13, 15

We are so precious to God. Psalm 139:17 says, How precious are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! If we could count them, they are more in number than the sand.

Precious One, Commune with Him! Search the Scriptures daily...let Him speak to you...draw near to Him, and He will draw close to you. James 4:8a says, Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.

He's waiting patiently for us to come close to Him! As you do, He will fill your heart with JOY overflowing. He will give you strength as you go through your valleys. Sometimes valleys come into our lives to draw us closer to God! So, child of God, trust Him with all your valleys. Find refuge in Him!

Psalm 73:29 says, But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.

As you meditate on His Word cry out to Him in prayer. Tell Him all about your troubles. What a friend we have in Jesus! Tell Him you LOVE HIM and desire a closer walk/
relationship with Him. Get a good study Bible like my Matthew Henry Study Bible to help you understand the Bible better. The more you study the Word of God, the more you will fall in love with Jesus and His precious Word! You will sense His presence more in your life and His love for YOU!

Thou wild shew me the path of life; in they presence is fullness of JOY; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 16:11

I have wept as I came into His presence reading His Word feeling such great love for me. I am overwhelmed! We must nurture our relationship and stay in the Word daily.

But His delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth He mediatate day and night.

Psalm 1:2

He promises real JOY only in Him. After we are saved we are filled with the Holy Spirit. Our hearts are enlarged with holy JOY then and charity continually praising God. We have a thankful heart for all God's done for us at Calvary. Our hearts are filled with JOY... gladness... happiness! (Acts 2: 38, 39, 46, 47). So, bask in God's perfect love as you meditate day and night on His Word! Enjoy these tender moments with our Saviour! Thisis the greatest JOY in life; isn't it!? To be in the presence of God...oh, such PEACE and JOY!

Thy Words were found, and I did eat them; and thy Word was unto me JOY and REJOICING in mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

Jeremiah 15:16

So, as you feed on His Word feasting on manna from Heaven, He will nourish your soul! Come eat at His table...chew it... digest it...devour it! As you grow in Him you will experience JOY overflowing in your heart! So, dear One, love Him! Praise Him! Sing a hymn or chorus to the Lord! Or sing a special verse or Psalm that's blessed you to the Lord! Psalm 18:1-3 I love to sing to the Lord: I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength; the Lord is my rock and my fortress, and my deliver; my God, my strength, in Whom I will trust...I will call upon the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised! Glorify His name and worship Him all day long! Memorize precious promises to hide God's Word in your heart!

Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Psalm 119:11

Walk in an attitude of prayer all day communing with Him...send S.O.S's of "Help, Lord!"

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him.

Isaiah 26:3

May you too experience the JOY of the Lord in your heart today and everyday. He is our STRENGTH! MAY YOU HAVE A HEARTFILLED WITH JOY...JOY...REAL JOY! Your JOY will be contagious...others will then see Jesus in you and come to Christ too...they yearn for such JOY! Share your JOY in your heart...show the world real JOY and happiness by your love. Cast your fishing net of love to catch souls! You most certainly will have a heart filled with JOY!

Robin Jones Gunn in her book Sunsets, says it so well:

A relationship with God is so much more than coming to Him and asking forgiveness for past sins. God desires a living, breathing relationship with His bride, a relationship that includes promises made and promises kept. When we surrender to God's love, He receives us and forgives us. He adorns us in pure white and that's how He sees us coming down the aisle toward Him. We're no longer wearing the thin rags of our inadequacies, but we're clothed in Christ's righteousness.

It's such a beautiful mystery. The ultimate love story. God and Us - united at last. I pray for you, my dear readers, that you will come to know His forgiveness and His love. When you do, He will give you His Holy Spirit, which is His "engagement ring" or promise (Ephesisans 1:13-14). Wear it well. One day we will get to the end of this long aisle and see His face.

If you don't have a personal intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, now's the time to be saved (born again) and pray the sinner's prayer (below). Read the story of Nicodemas in the book of John in the Bible. He came to Jesus to ask Him how to be born again. (John 3). You may have wandered far away from the Lord. COME HOME TODAY! Our Lord is ready to forgive...He's never left you; you have left Him; He's waiting for His prodigal child to come home to Him. Won't you come home today...stop running from God...He cares so much for you...I John 1:9 says, "If we confess our since, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." He loves you, dear One...won't you come back into His loving arms again! the Wedding Day is coming soon! Are YOU ready? Are your preparations all made? WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE...WE WILL SEE HIMFACE TO FACE, OUR BELOVED BRIDEGROOM...OUR WONDERFUL LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST! "Even so, Come, Lord Jesus." (Revelation 22:20).

Dear Heavenly Father;

I know that as a sinner I deserve eternal death and that I need to be saved. I believe that Jesus Christ, your perfect Son, died in my place that I might be saved. Please forgive my sins; come into my heart and life, and save my soul today. I here and now open my heart to Christ and receive Him as my Saviour and as the Lord of my life. Thank You for saving a sinner such as me. Help me to live for you from now on.
Thank You for Your great love for me.
In Jesus' Precious Name...Amen!
