(Dad's Homecoming Message)

What a precious sight
As I fell asleep peacefully
In the arms of God's angels
Glimpsing hosts of angels in flight!

I watch as in a trance
Serenaded by these angels in dance
As they tenderly lift me heavenward
Carrying me to the Pearly Gates Entrance.

Greeted by Abraham of old
I was escorted into heaven
To glittering streets of pure gold
Just like the Bible foretold.

As I looked around
I fell prostrate to the ground
Worshipping the King of Kings
With His angels all around.

Singing Glory to God in the Highest!
I got up and ran to the Saviour
Into His strong and loving arms
As He welcomed me to Heaven!

Overwhelmed by His presence
Tears of joy trickled down my face,
As I thanked Him for His amazing grace.
Gently He wiped all my tears away.

Surrounded by heavenly hosts
I stayed in His tender embrace
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost
All ONE, my eternal God!

What a Homecoming Day!
He took me by the hand
And led me to my mansion so grand
All that is missing, darling, is YOU!

It won't be long, my dear
And you'll join us up yonder
All our family and friends so dear
Oh, how I miss you, my dear!

I'm busy as can be; all my pain gone
With hammer in hand
Helping our Lord as I always did on earth
To finish building these mansions so grand!

I said "hello" to sis Margaret
Whose mansion is just down the street
Oh, and all of my family already here
Told me to send down their love, dear.

They told me to whisper in your ear
How much they miss you this year
And to keep telling others about Jesus
So they too can join our family over here.

Darling, my love for you is still the same.
When the raindrops fall
On your window pane
Think of me throwing kisses from Heaven!

Now it won't be long
When you and all our precioius family
Will be serenaded too by these angels
And be carried HOME at last!

Now don't shed a tear
My precious loved ones
For Heaven is so grand
With Jesus holding my hand!

Carried by the angels
To my Home on high
Another soldier gone Home!
Yes, what a day, glorious day!

Heaven is my Home now
I'm singing and dancing
On Hallelujah Square
Singing "Victory in Jesus!"
